Beatroit — The Roots of Detroit Techno
A comic-noir animated documentary film honoring the pioneers of Detroit techno, built from a decade-deep archive of exclusive interviews recorded by Christopher Noelle (TOFA).
“Most of the raw material had been lying unused on my hard drives for ages, and I knew I had to create something completely new from scratch. Something that would motivate me to keep going, something I hadn't seen before. I see Beatroit. as an artistic homage to a subculture I've been a part of since my youth.” — Tofa
